Dear all,
I am writing further to a meeting I held recently concerning HS2.
At this meeting I was informed that 51M had received legal advice that it was important that each Community Forum takes its own minutes and does not rely on those produced by HS2 Ltd.
The reasoning given was that if a dispute should arise in the future about what was discussed at the Community Forums the only record of the meeting would be the document produced by HS2 Ltd. From the feedback I have received from my own constituents following the first round of meetings I am aware that there are concerns over the accuracy of the minutes being produced.
Therefore, you may wish to consider if as a Forum you wish to produce your own record of what was discussed at each meeting.
Yours sincerely,
David Lidington
